Our competitive dance team at Elevé Dance Company is designed for dancers eager to enhance their technique, performance, and commitment. Company dancers train at a higher level and proudly represent our studio at regional dance competitions and conventions.

What Is Competitive Dance?  

Competitive dance provides students with the chance to learn choreography and perform routines at organized events where studios come together to showcase their work. Dancers gain valuable experience, confidence, and stage presence while building lifelong memories.

What to Expect  

Dancers in our company program:

- Take weekly technique and rehearsal classes  

- Perform at competitions and studio events  

- Build teamwork, discipline, and confidence  

- Train with experienced instructors and choreographers  

We typically aim for three local competitions per season, held in the spring. Our youngest company dancers generally compete two routines, while our oldest dancers participate in several—typically a minimum of three—with additional opportunities offered as specialty dances.

In addition to the competition season, we attend a larger dance convention in the fall and offer opportunities to participate in master classes and intensives throughout the year. While all opportunities are encouraged, some will be mandatory.

Dance Team Auditions  

Placement on our competitive dance team is determined through annual dance auditions. We welcome dedicated, passionate dancers who are ready to elevate their training to the next level and be part of something special.
